POSITION: Career/Business Development Representative
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Career/Business Development Rep reports to the Senior Manager Center Director. Works closely with the Career Business Service Unit and partner public agencies so that there is coordination career customer services and employment opportunities. Emphasis is placed on job readiness, soft skill, career coaching of job seekers to ensure appropriate skill-job development and placement services as needed. The Career/Business Development Representative work supports planning, and attainment of established career and placement goals of the Center and/or auxiliary projects. The Career/Business Development Representative conducts outreach and interface with target occupational sector groups, business, and community. Career/Business Development Representative facilitates customer flow, work site referral, placement, and the engagement stakeholders-partners. Works with center specialists, teams to ensure timely delivery of participant program progress, training, placement, staffing employer assistance services and compliance with contract requirements. Interfaces with customers, job seekers, develops comprehensive participant profiles and collaborates with center teams, partners to identify business-employment service needs, assuring linkages with compatible and growth sector occupational sectors. Conducts on-line labor market information search, Occupational Information Network (ONET) to identify occupational trends, to facilitate the entry and/or re-entry of career seekers into interim job placement upskilling sector requirements. Career/Business Development Representative prepares productivity reports data and information to measure individual, project and center goal attainment and success stories.
Promotes customer satisfaction with both the career seeker and employers, interfacing directly with center teams to develop public outreach, target and sustain customer flow, business sector initiatives that contribute to job and economic growth of the region. Submits recommendations for improvement in services and customer satisfaction. Career/Business Development Representative works closely with Administrator, intake, system and Management Information Systems specialist to maintain real time customer records, participant goal development, and service documentation ensuring compliance with Federal, State and City/County WorkForce and related requirements.
