Key Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team on construction and structural projects involving cold-formed steel framing.
- Perform detailed design calculations and create calculation spreadsheets in compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in calculating design wind loads for two projects.
- Prepare a complete project submittal calculation package for the project engineer’s review.
- Develop Excel-based calculation tools to improve engineering efficiency, consistency, and flexibility.
- Work collaboratively with engineers to streamline structural analysis and design processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
- Present progress updates and a final project review at the end of the internship.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with structural analysis, force distribution, load paths, and material properties.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with structural design software is a plus).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to projects.
Recruitment Timeline
Recruitment for the 2025 Summer Internship Program will begin in March. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply early. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, with final selections made in the spring.
